FAQ

  • When is Driver’s Ed required?

Students between the ages 15.5 to 18 years old must complete 30 hours of classroom Driver's Education before they can sign up for the DMV Written test. We recommend students ages 15 to 18 to take Driver's Ed, then when students are 15.5, they can take the DMV Written Test.

  • What will students learn in Driver's Ed?

The DMV required curriculum includes concepts about the driver, the vehicle, road regulations, and DMV rules. Although Driver’s Ed may help with (1) Behind-The-Wheel driving and the (2) DMV Written Test, the DMV Driver’s Ed outline is separate. Our course includes the mandated 30 hour course outline, but we also include the Written Test Preparation by providing practice questions. Practice questions and studying the DMV handbook are the two best ways to prepare and Pass the Written Test.

  • What happens after I complete Driver’s Ed?

We will automatically be notified of your course completion and will send you your Certificate of Completion. You will need this certificate before you can take the Written DMV test for your permit. Teens ages 15.5 - 18 years old will need to answer 38 of 46 questions correctly. Our course will also help prepare you to pass the DMV written test. Most driver's ed programs do not include DMV Written test prep in their course.

  • Why do I need to take Driver’s Ed?

Driver’s Ed is needed for teens ages 15.5 to 18. It will help you be a safer and more knowledgable driver.

  • How Do Sign Up for the DMV Written Test
